We live in the SF Bay Area and when my hubby wanted a new jacket I thought this one would be perfect! And it was! He has gone from an XL to a L and this fit him perfectly . He wears it almost every day and says it keeps him warm but not overwhelmed by ” bulk”. Another winner for LL BEAN!

I practically live in this jacket fall, winter and spring. It is very comfortable feeling and good by itself in cool weather and light rain or snow. In winter, it is great for skiing as a mid-layer with a waterproof shell over it. My favorite since the all-conditions fleece of years past.

I was able to do a brisk walk for an hour outside all winter in Chicago. Now I must qualify that by saying it was a relatively mild winter but from 25 degrees Fahrenheit and above I was comfortable with 2 base layers and this jacket, and it is more effective protection against wind than fleece. I am 5’9″, 185 lbs, more of a “stocky build” the Large is a little big on me.

I ordered this light jacket to replace a windbreaker that has seen better days, and I wanted something that would also offer a little protection from light rain. This jacket was a good buy!
The jacket is comfortable and the fit runs true to size. It is a little more substantial than a windbreaker while still being lightweight. While not meant to be a raincoat, that jacket did keep me dry from a light drizzle while I was out walking for several minutes. The sleeve has velcro tabs so that they can be snugged up to the wrists for more protection.
I like the zippered chest pocket, and there are internal pockets as well. All in all, a very good light jacket!

This has been a great between seasons jacket so far! The lining is soft (but can catch my sleeves if I don’t hold on to them). The zippers feel great! The color is nice (and there is some texturealmost like ripstop) in the material. I don’t like the position of the velcro on the sleevesit feels odd.
