These are warm, but the sizing is off. Order the next size up. XL is too small for my 13-year-old (120 lbs.).
Lutsema –
My son thinks this is one of his most comfortable tops. It’s even a bit fuzzy inside.
MountainMomma –
I bought the blue for my son to wear at hockey. It keeps him warm, looks great and washes well! I came back on the site to get another color….I'll have to stay with another blue. Would love more boy color options! Highly recommend.

My son is a Boy Scout and goes camping in the cold weather. He won’t leave home without his long underwear. He loves these. They are warm but also breathable. He outgrew last years so I purchased the same set again this year In a bigger size. Too bad the largest size is an 18.
Shopper –
size 18 JUST FITS my 12 yr old who is not large at all (wears 14). LL Bean sizes are way out of proporiton.
Chappy45 –
A Christmas gift and it has not been tried on yet.

My child is small for her size but 4 is the smallest size offered. It was a little big but worked just fine. She never complained of being cold and this was her only layer under snow pants and coat in high 20s.

Bought these for all 3 of my granddaughters two years ago for Christmas. Bought a size 10-12 for 2 of the girls, now back to buy a size 14 for one of them who now weights just under 90 pounds. Two of the girls are very picky with how their clothes feel. The one that needs a bigger size requested the same Long Johns. They do a lot of outdoor activities, including ice fishing. She is also sold on the LL Bean winter waterproof gloves, only ones she'll wear.

Ordered the L 14-16 for a 10 year old boy, weighs 90 lbs. The product is what we were looking for (active, base layer, no hood), but it was WAY too small. We're going to try the XL 18. Consider ordering 2 sizes larger than you think you normally would.

Perfect for skiing, tubing, or any other winter outdoor play.

Bought for my son who overgrown his heavyweight Polartec baselayer. This top from LLBean seemed to be thinner, but it came out it is really warm, fast drying and comfortable. Very good winter gear. He runs every second day in any weather, and he uses this baselayer for his winter running. It hepls to reduce number of layers one has to put on when temperatures are below 20F 🙂
And it survives washing machine well
Andrea –
This was purchased as a base layer for my son to wear under his snowboarding jacket. It fits great abs he loves how it feels.

Basic layer that works perfect keeping you worm when you are passive, and no less good for cold weather activities. My son slept in a sleeping bag in a tent covered with snow in this underwear and for three months already he uses it as a first layer to skin when we ran outside, with record low -6F and 90 min at this temperature. It keeps him warm and dry. And as a running gear, this top often goes into the wash machine and survived many cycles well. I used many kinds of expensive heavy underwear from famous producers and different less known and cheaper stuff, and I may say this one is among the best, I would recommend anyone

The fabric is nice, but there is a tear on the seam after 3 wearings
Tommy –
LOVE the fabric. My son wants another one as back up since he will wear this a lot! will keep him warm.
MophieMama –
This base layer is amazing! It’s warm enough to keep my teenagers snug out in the cold underneath winter jackets without hassling them to put additional layers on and it’s stylish enough that both of my teens wear this as a regular shirtand it totally works!
Corina –
Nice and stylish and it’s great for layering or sports.
Maine –
Cosy and comfortable- great layering for winter. My son wears it all the time!
KMESSICK –
Love this too. Fits perfectly, true to size. Warm base layer. Son loves it.
AuntieS –
I bought two sets for my nephews (4 & 5) for skiing. They loved them so much and didn’t want to take them off. Worked great for all day lessons and playing in the snow.
Cpalonen –
Active wear top perfect for busy toddler. Sure it will get great use!
Amy L –
Great thicker base layer & good quality! My son had this, another thicker fleece on with his ski bibs & jacket when it was -11 out and said he was perfectly warm while skiing.
