Awesome shoe and I so wanted it to work but the toe box, in the area of the pinky toe, is a bit too narrow for me. The 10 was too long and I had hoped the 9.5 would work by wearing them in the house for several days but the leather wouldn’t give, probably because that area seems to have another layer of leather and stitching reinforcing the structure of the shoe. Again, beautiful shoe but I wouldn’t recommend it for someone with a wide toe box. Sadly, I have to return it but I absolutely loved the look of this shoe, the excellent outer sole, and the overall quality construction of this shoe.

TLDR: These comfortable shoes keep my feet dry in the rain and on morning walks through grass covered in dew. They have enough traction that if my dog sees a squirrel I don’t have to worry about being dragged behind him. Before buying the Traildusters, I had my eyes on LL Bean’s Bean Boot Mocs, but Zappos doesn’t sell my size and LL Bean has my size backordered for months. I tried the Sperry knockoff and felt like I was wearing slippers outside that would just pop off at any moment. I returned those. These shoes were $40 more than I had wanted to spend, but I justify the price because I got two shoes in one – a boot for walking in the rain as well as for hiking on trails. Bonus that they’re cute enough to wear around town, too. In terms of size, I have an old pair of LL Bean rain boots in a 6, so I at first ordered 6 for these but had to exchange them for a 6.5, which feel much roomier and better. I’ve had trail running shoes in the past purport to be “waterpoof” but they would inevitably come unglued at the seams or the mesh would rip. I wanted a solidly built shoe with few failure points. This pair seems to fit the bill, but let’s see how long they last!

These shoes put your feet into a neutral position along with little to no heel to toe drop. This makes for a very “grounded ” feel. Good grip, good support, and very comfortable! Use for light day hiking and tripping around. Order your normal size shoe. I am an 8.5 -9. 8.5 fit perfect.

These shoes are not only so cute, they’re comfortable right out of the box! I love that the heels have plenty of cushioning so there’s no ankle rubbing, and the toe box is just wide and high enough to accommodate thick hiking socks. They have good support on their own, but I’ve also been able to add my orthotics with no problem. I love the raspberry color, too.

Bought these as winter work shoes. Waterproof for the “not quite enough snow for boots” days and comfortable to wear standing all day. They look great too!
Oregon C –
These shoes were an impulse buy for me, because I already have good hiking shoes. But I was really drawn to the fact that this product is much more attractive than typical hikers, and can pass for everyday shoes. I’m really glad that I went with the impulse, because I love these shoes. They are comfortable, fit really well, and are fully functional for walking and hiking. Love the color, too.

The size 10 medium
Is perfect. Plenty of room toes, no rubbing. Even bunions are not negatively affected. Heel fits snugly.
Would definitely recommend to friends.

These are excellent hiking/walking shoes. They are waterproof with very good tread. I opened the box, put them on, walked around the house, then outside, and was ready to go on my trip to Alaska. Perfect size, fit, and comfort.
Nina –
Very comfortable all-day walking/hiking shoe from day one.

Bought these for a trip to Ireland. Fit great and so comfortable right out of the box. Served me well on the multiple hiking trails on Cliffs of Moher for a day-long hike, as well as many other shorter hikes both on trails and on paved sidewalks in the cities. Kept my feet dry and comfy all day! So glad I brought these with me!

Attractive shoe. Absolutely NOT for anyone needing a wide toe box for bunions, etc.
Jeanette –
Very comfortable! I have a wide foot and these give my toes lots of room. Also, I use arch supports and there is plenty of space for those too.

My older feet need good footwear on the trail and even just sightseeing. I got these in burgundy and they look very high quality. The fit is good. I went up a half size based on the reviews and I am glad that I did.
Ellen F –
These hikers have been comfortable from day one. I bought them for a trip to Iceland because they are water resistant and insulated.
Mary P –
I love these hikers! Only I wear them everywhere. Plus they are truly waterproof. Sooo comfortable, lightweight and supportive! My favorite hikers.
Walker –
Love these hiking shoes, use them every day – love the arch support and there water proof
Tbone –
Comfortable from the first day I put them on and very light weight. Excellent for rugged terrain as well as smooth walking.
Diane N –
These hiking shoes are very comfortable and don’t need to be broken in at all.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes, one were the Trailduster Hiker Low Women’s shoes from LL Bean; and the other pair was from a well known company. I decided to keep these shoes. They were less expensive and comfortable as soon as I put them on.
V15K –
These are great for walking on concrete sidewalks. I use the similar Snow Sneakers for walking in winter and ordered these shoes because I was so happy with the Snow Sneakers. They absorb the shock of walking on concrete very well, and my feet do not hurt at all. They fit well.
Wendy P –
These new shoes are just as weatherproof and cushioned as the others. Just a little shorter than the other ones.
Woodsie –
Amazing shoe, no break in period required! Usually wear an 8 1/2 but purchased a 9
KathyP –
This is the 2nd pair I’ve owned over the last few years. It’s a great shoe, very comfortable & supportive, and perfect for walking and hiking.
Susanne –
I ordered a 1/2 size up as recommended and it fit perfectly. It was a little tight on my left little toe the first time I wore them, however the second time they already seems to have stretched a bit to fit to my foot better and I didn’t notice the same issue. I love the look of the shoe and it’s rugged for outdoor hobbies. It’s more difficult these days to find good leather shoes; in my opinion they fit better, and last longer.

just needed to go up a size.
