Great bag – light, suffable, right amount of pockets, really smart additions like tiny pockets for stuffing in the lengthy straps so they don’t hang.

I purchased this backpack 150 years ago (exaggeration). It has been my faithful companion on at least a 1000 day hikes (this is not an exaggeration).
PROS: Extremely durable materials. Very lightweight. The number, size and placement of pockets is well thought out. I absolutely love this daypack.
CONS: It has snowshoed a blizzard in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It has baked on the hot red rocks of Moab. It has gotten run over by a car. It has fallen off a cliff. It has been washed in a washing machine at least 25 times. It just won’t die.
At this point, the backpack looks sad and ragged but is still fully functional. Sometimes it embarrasses me in public, like when I was going hiking with a friend I was visiting and had to carry it through an airport in all its tattered glory. The environmentalist in me won’t purchase a new item until I need it, but this is just getting ridiculous. Careful with this one. Choose a color you like.

I love it! I’ve only used it for carrying Christmas presents home so far. But I love the color and all of the different pockets for storage, and I like how light and comfortable it is. Plus the outside mesh pocket will hold a big water bottle. Which is a must for me.
I have two other LLBean backpacks and I love both of them. So I’m sure this one will get lots of too.

I love this bag. All the kids have one; I’m on my third (because they are well loved and eventually do wear out). Please bring back the golden/yellow! Mine needs replacing! Thanks LL Bean!

I just used this as my daypack for a 2 week trip in Europe and loved it. I have a variety of high end backpacks and do a lot of hiking, but wanted one that was simple for urban travel and sightseeing.
This pack has great features and details for the price. The sternum strap and waist belt helped.
Excellent organization. Great size. Lightweight. Highly recommend.

Vibrant colors. Hugs closely when wearing it. My husband is a teacher and wears a large LL Bean backpack year round. Perfect size when you don’t want an oversized backpack for biking or hiking. It holds quite a bit. Write it in the rain and kept the contents inside dry. Has a feature that allows for it to be folded into itself as a small pack.

This is my favorite backpack for daily use. This is my third one that I have owned and each time there are improvements. The side pocket for my water bottle is deeper and my water bottle not fallen out. My last one, the stitching was starting to split and there are areas that are getting thinner. I love all of the pockets and how light weight it is.

Just what I hoped for – nice size, good quality, lots of space for packing & easily packable when not needed.

sturdy material, comfortable straps, many pockets, fits under airplane seat even when packed to the gills, tho wish the straps weren’t quite so orange on the red bag, replaced beloved one purchased in 2011

I’m using this as an under seat carry-on and day pack. It packs down nicely and is super light.

I bought this backpack for a trip to Europe. I loved all the pockets and it was really easy to grab things from the pack. Can store a 13″ laptop, headphones, snacks, and a water bottle.

Easy to clean. It is a great size. This is my second bag, different color. Wears well

This is my second Stowaway pack. My husband has confiscated the first pack we bought about 6 years ago. The pack is great for so many things. we initially use the first pack for biking but found out that it can be used for traveling, day hiking, and to pack pickle ball racket and supplies. I love the outer pocket that I call the kangaroo pocket, I can stuff a jacket into the pocket and have easy access to it while hiking. There are many other pockets as well, so the organization is great! For traveling I just roll the pack and put it into the bottom of my suitcase. I feel this takes up less space than folding it into its pouch. The difference between my new pack and the older one is the water bottle holders have elastic but not the cinch string so yes when you bend over the bottles can fall out. And the newer version has the ability to hold a water bladder, but it does not say what size. Not sure how this will work as I have not tried it yet. It’s a great all-around little pack. I really like it!
