No room in toe box or instep. I could not even get the boot on. Insole is not removable.
I am a 7. Wear orthotics. And i am disappointed i cannot fi d comfort desert boots. So cute.

The fit and size are PERFECT. I’ve been looking for this shoe. It’s actually a little darker than pictured which was a wonderful surprise. They’re comfy, warm supportive, solidly constructed, and will form to my feet over time. Great purchase. Thank you for making this shoe for women, LLBean!!!!

These are surprisingly not comfortable at all. The width is narrow and the way my foot fits inside the shoe is just uncomfortable. too bad. they’re nice looking shoes but must return them.

I really like these shoes. As someone else pointed out, they are actually darker in color than depicted – which I prefer! I usually wear a 6 or 6 1/2, and the size 6 I ordered fits perfectly. They are really comfortable and I like the way they look!

A very nice chukka boot, love the suede and the color, also like the 2 eyelet instead of 3. The footbed (although cushioned) is not removable so I went up a whole size for an orthotics, perfect, plus extra cushioning.

LOVE them! But as of Oct. ’22 color is exactly as in product image (a classic desert book khaki color) – not darker as other reviewer mentions, and shows in her photos. They fit fairly true to size. If there’s concern about a tight fit, I’d recommend sizing up. Especially if you want to put orthotics in as there’s no arch support. The insole isn’t removable. I like how they look with a looser straight leg jean (not a tight leg). The rubber outsole is a definite plus for icy conditions. So waterproofing after Fall might be advisable if wearing them into Winter. Though is will also most likely darken the suede, which might be optimal for the winter months anyway.

Beautiful boots, well made, loved the color. Fit w/o my orthotics, they fit true to size, but once I put them in, the boot was extremely tight. I can’t wear the shoes without the orthotics!

I ordered the Stonington Chukkas in 7 1/2 wide as I have an injury on one foot. The shoes fit comfortably and I am considering ordering another color. The suede is flawless and I particularly like the fact that the sole is in a co-ordinating color.

I bought these shoes to replace shoes that I bought from LL Bean over 30 years ago, that had finally wore out beyond repair. This style isn’t exactly what I wanted but are very close and will meet my needs as a replacement. I like the shoes although I had to purchase replacement shoelaces, the ones that came with the shoes weren’t a good color match and were way too long. I found some great replacement shoelaces and they were inexpensive.
The shoes fit well although I need to break them in, the crease on the toes hits wrong, but that should adjust as I break them in.

I have wanted a pair of chukkas since I was in high school. They were only made for boys. When they first made women’s’ boots they did not make a wide width. Finally, I open up my catalog to see my dream shoes in wide for women and in the color I always dreamed of owning. These are perfect. Super comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all day the first time I put them on. I considered wearing them to bed–something I haven’t had the urge to do since childhood. I love these boots!
