Nice leather boot but the sizing is a head scratcher. I started with my usual size, 9.5W and ended up with a 8M. Almost seems like a men’s boot size to me. I’m ok with the boot but the sizing makes it hard to get the order right.

I’m on my feet all day, and these are working out great. I did size down from a solid 10 to a 9 1/2 and all is right with the world. Soft leather, water proof, light not clunky, and a comfy flexible sole. I realize these are a bit pricey, but a good pair of boots like these will last years.

These may look like soft suede boots but they’re really firm leather boots that need to be broken in before they become comfortable. They provide good traction in the snow and good rigidity for your ankles on bumpy ground. I had to replace the laces so they stayed tied tight. Now that they’re broken in, I wear them all day long. They also keep my feet dry in heavy rain.

The description says lightweight running shoe quality. I felt it to be very much a boot. They are padded or even may be insulated. They felt almost like a snow boot to me. Not what I was looking for. The sole was not as light as I thought it was going to be. It was more taupe than white.

Love these boots! Nice and warm, comfy and stylish! I bought them in my true size and don’t find them to be too big. There also wasn’t any break in time needed! I put them on and went right to work with no pain or blisters. So happy I bought these! I would buy these again and again.

I wear a 7-7.5 in women’s and I bought a size 6 in black which was too small. My toes hit the front end. I am trading this shoe for a bigger size which is 6.5 and I hope it fits. The boots are very comfortable and well insulated. The weight is a lot lighter than most heavy boots I have had in the past. The only down fall to these boots are the sizing is way off. The sizing is more of a mans sizes. The boots are beautiful and will last many years. Great quality.

Comfortable, sturdy, good-looking boot with good traction. Not a true winter boot because it’s unlined, but that’s exactly what I was looking for. Runs large, especially in the width. I’m often an 8W or 8.5W and had to exchange these for an 8M, which fits perfectly with midweight socks.

I have received numerous compliments on these boots, one woman who grew up in Maine, said “Those are the original being boots!” Not sure about that, but they are extremely comfortable. They are a little feminine, not too bulky, and I love wearing them. They are a little stiff to start out but once they wear in, they’re awesome.

These boots are what I wanted and they are just right for me. Comfortable the first time I put them on, they fit right out of the box. Low profile tread on the sole, so it doesn’t pick up gravel – this was the biggest plus! Cute to look at, well made. A smidge tight on my pinky toe, even though I ordered the wide. The shoe laces could be longer, I can’t lace them all the way up. The materials and construction are excellent. These boots seem like they will become better with age.

I bought these boots to wear in northwest winters in rain, sloppy, wet snow and cold temps. So far they have definitely done the trick. They are very warm and haven’t leaked when I’ve worn them in wet weather. Yes, the ankle is stiff but they have softened up some and that doesn’t bother me. They are also very well made and the sole grips very well. They have a lot of room in the toe box and accommodate thicker socks. I think they are very comfortable. They do look like men’s boots and remind me of the boots my dad wore in the 70’s, but they do the trick if you are looking for a well made, warm leather boot.

I love these boots! Bought in store so I was able to try on first. Roomy in toe, I can wear thin or wool socks and my feet stay warm. True to size and comfortable. I little stiff but they just need to be broken in. They look cute on too!

This is a very, very comfy boot. I wear an 8.5 W, and the 8 B fit. I did however, choose to return them and order the 8W from LLBean direct. If only Zappos had the wide widths!

I have hammer toes, arthritis, and plantar fasciitis. There was room for the orthotic and plenty of room in the toe box. They are quite comfortable and I use them for gardening and in the stable. I am very pleased with them as shoes/boots are difficult for me to find that are comfortable. I ordered a 10 medium.

Love these boots. I usually wear a size 9 in boots, but based on other reviews here, I ordered half a size down. The length was perfect on the 8.5s, but the instep and toes were a bit tight. I have a high instep so that’s not unusual, but they weren’t comfortable so back they went. Then I learned that LL Bean offers these boots in wide sizes, so I gave those a try. Perfect! I don’t normally need a wide width, so I think the regular width runs a little narrow.
The leather was a bit stiff at first, but after I wore them for a half-mile walk they got better, and after a few hours on a motorcycle they were super comfortable. The moc toe gives my toes a little extra wiggle room, which is great with wool socks. The cinnamony-brown color is great for fall, and I wear them with leggings and casual dresses. I love these Stonington boots so much that I got them in the light tan suede color too. Definitely recommend.

These r very “boy-ish” so I hesitated. I LOOOVE THEM!! Can’t wear as often as I’d like as they hit me in a sensitive part of my shins, but I plan to make it work anyway! A long thick sock should do the trick AND getting them worn in. Wore them for hours first day regardless. Cuteness!
