Boy, the quality of LL Bean products have gone down hill; but, the prices continue to rise. This shirt is made in Indonesia. It is a light weight canvas with a very thin flannel lining. I’m sure that this shirt-jac will not stand up to a full season working with me in the shop. It’s a shame, I had high hopes but I feel let down. I payed more than $90 for this and it’s just not worth it. I’ve been shopping LL Bean since they had rugby shorts, those are gone and I fear at the prices that are being charged now for goods, I will be also. Sorry.

Great shirt jacket. A little big in the waist but I like a slim fit. Works great when I have a hoodie on underneath. It’s comfortable, looks good, and will be worn for a long time

This is a good shirt. There are some things I would like to see in the next version:
1) Flannel throughout the entire shirt. Right now there is a nylon material in the sleeves.
2) Snaps on the breast pockets.
3) Larger breast pockets (preferably bellows).
4) Wider sleeves so that rolling them up is easier.

The sleeve openings at the wrist were too big when the single snap was used, meaning that I was forced to roll the sleeves up, or have them hanging down completely over my hands, which doesn’t work. The design should include two snaps at each sleeve opening, so the user can choose the size opening that works for them. I would have loved the shirt/jacket if that had been the case.

To save money I chose the sale color, Darkest Navy. It has a decidedly purple tinge, not just blackened-blue. While I am okay with the color I’d have chosen the Light Hickory if i’d seen it. Also, the brass snaps contrast strongly with the fabric, giving the whole garment the look of an old-fashioned uniform.

I like everything about this shirt jacket with one exception. Well made, good pockets and nice lining. The corduroy collar gives it a step above in looks. The stretch fabric makes it possible to wear a sweater underneath. It would have gotten a 5 star from me if it was offered in a regular or roomier fit. I wear a 40R and don’t like the tighter feel under the arm pit that a trimmer fit shirt has.

Ordered Men’s Signature Lined Canvas Shirt Jacket for my husband. Great weight for Eastcoast Spring and Fall. Men’s size M fit as expected with room to add a layer or 2 underneath but trim enough to not look sloppy. Good quality, wish jacket was offered in navy or denim fabric.

The fabric has kind of a worn look, but I like it and it works on this shirt. The lined sleeves are a nice touch as well as the corduroy collar. Fit is true to size.
