Finally I found the perfect winter boots for our tough winter weather here in Alaska.
I wore the boots out today walking in our crazy windy day here in Seward,Alaska. The temp was 15F with wind gusted about 15 MPH so the temp. dropped down to 0 F. I couldn’t feel my face but my feet stayed toasty the whole walk ! I’m super duper impressed with how warm these are with only medium socks. But I have to say to get the perfect fit for me , I had to order two different sizes. I am wearing an 8 1/2 in all shoes but the size guide said to order size down if you are half sizes and othe review said to go size up so I was so lost so I just ordered both sizes to try. I guess the other review was right about go size up , these boots are kind of narrow so a 9 fits me perfectly with some room for thicker socks.
So happy with the purchase! These are my first L.L.Bean boots and I’m looking forward to wearing these for a long time !

I wore these right out of the box on a vacation in cold snowy Quebec City. With no break in period, they were comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry! I walked for hours and through tons of slushy snow with no problems. I paired them with a mid weight wool sock and bought my normal size. Great boot that is lightweight, comfortable and functional.

I read all the reviews, decided to go for it. I have an narrow foot and it said they ran a little narrow. There is no heel slippage…..perfect for me. I can even fit my orthotics inside and don’t hurt me anywhere. (All my shoes, boots, must be leather, not rubber.) These ones, I can go shopping in and not have to change shoes, or look like I’d just come off the mountaintop. I wasn’t really looking for a work boot, but they can be. I bought these as a rain boot, during our rainy season. I choose the navy, looking less like a hunting boot. Nice styling, great workmanship. I like the stretchy laces, regular lace become a nuisance, coming untied. Unless one needs a wide width I may recommend this boot. I rarely give 5 stars, but at this point I just can’t find anything wrong with them.

My kid has really narrow feet and these boots fit well. She’s usually size 8.5 but I went up 1/2 size to size 9 to accommodate thick wool socks.

Barely got two winters out of these boots before the bottoms cracked. VERY disappointed in quality of these boots.

I wish I could have kept these as they had all the features I was looking for. The seam of the upper and lower material pressed hard on the top of my foot. If you have a high arch these may be uncomfortable for you

I am so glad I went with these boots rather than the typical “bean boots”. The insulation is perfect in that it is warm but doesn’t cause excessive sweating. The colors are amazing. Definitely water proof and great for walking through snow or rain. They can be a tiny bit slippery on slick surfaces but overall have been a great purchase for me to finally have a comfortable, warm and water resistant pair of snow boots.

I live in the country and also commute. These boots are definitely the best I have owned over the years. My feet stay warm and dry, and I maintain secure traction in snow on our property and slick parking lots too. They are easy to put on and take off. They are great looking too!!! Plus, they are great quality. I will be using these for years and I wish I had ordered them years ago

Ordered my regular size and width. Cute boots and they fit great with room for thick socks. Did quite a bit of walking in them in a few inches of snow. They were very comfortable, easy to walk in, and kept my feet warm and dry.

My daughter needed really good, WARM boots to replace her cheap ones. These fit the bill. These are the taupe/ coffee bean in a true to size 8 1/2. Purchased on clearance, out of season. We’ve had one cold wet day when she wore the boots to work. Her feet were awesome in the cold and in the overly warm office. Cute boots. The pics were taken tonight, so they clean up really well. I like the look and the fit is comfortable. I dislike this format of accumulating information and feedback. A lot of companies use this technic. I think this method is counterintuitive. It disappoints me that you would use this……. like a common, out of touch, conglomerate. You’re better than that!!! I’m not writing an article, I’m taking my time to give you feedback.

Very well made boots that keep my feet warm. The insole is not very cushioned for long walks so I replaced that with a high cushioned Dr. Scholls because I walk for several hours a day. These are so cute and I’m so glad I have them!

The boot is perfect height and plush lining is great fir warmth BUT the boot runs o e full size small:-(
