This jacket is exactly as I expected and wanted it to be. I am 92 years old and more concerned with comfort than style, but, much to my delight this jacket gives me both! It is the perfect light weight jacket for fall and roomy enough to wear over a sweater. It replaces a long-discontinued L.L.Bean jacket I’ve been wearing between seasons for the last 10?, 12?, more? years!

Love this jacket. Just what I was looking for. Has that 80s vibe, warm yet lightweight, long enough in the sleeves and length—perfect!
Shauna –
I am a pretty solid medium in LLBean things and figured this would be the same. I have 2 other medium jackets that are the anorak style and fit well. A bit loose, but I can layer. This fit the same. a bit loose, a bit long in the sleeve. I could maybe have gone for a small? Not sure. I tried a fleece and hoodie under it and it had plenty of room. I also put my rain coat on over this and that worked too. It has a weird vibe of thinness until you take it off and realize you were pretty warm after all. I love the color blocking which is why I purchased it. I wouldn’t pay full price though, so get it while it’s on sale. Bigger in the hips then the shoulders. I’m pretty average at 5’7″ and 140lbs. So go down if you want it fitted, or keep the medium for layers.

I have had this coat for years and I love it! Super light weight, compact, yet warm. Definitely worth it!!!
Lisassup –
A soft and cozy jacket with good wind resistance. Perfect for weather in the 40-50 degree range.

This jacket keeps me warm during my walks on days where the temps are in the 40’s and 50’s. I get compliments on the throwback colors on a regular basis. I absolutely love this jacket!
Susan –
Light weight, perfect in between jacket. Great color combos.
Winter L –
I wanted a lighter weight jacket and this was the one i chose. Its perfect for what i was looking for.

My new favorite. Lightweight and thin enough to comfortably wear while driving. Warm enough to wear outdoors on a snowy day in the Midwest. Waterproof material. The first week I wore it, I got several compliments on the color. Great fit. Well constructed.
Julie –
Needed a short, light weight jacket for those cold but not too cold days. Found the right one in this colorful, well made number.
Kelly –
This lightweight jacket is great & quite comfortable. The colors are true to what you see online. The sizing is accurate. It’s more of a spring & fall jacket for WI weather. I’d prefer zippered pockets over snapped pockets, but just y preference. Very pleased with this jacket overall

I use this jacket working on my farm and riding horses. It’s lightweight and roomy on the bottom. I bought one size up so I can wear layers under it and move around easily. Like most reviewers, I wish the pockets had zippers instead of snaps. The fabric doesn’t feel reinforced around the snaps so I would imagine constant unsnapping may rip it, so I just leave them open. My gloves haven’t fallen out of the pockets yet. This jacket is perfect for 30-40F weather and actively moving around. If there is wind, it can get chilly. I really like the retro color and design and it washes well. It has just the right amount of “puff”. I liked it so much that I bought my husband one. He likes his too and he looks good in it.

My friend and business partner loves this jacket. It’s light but keeps her warm during this so Cal winter.

I love this jacket. I am in southern California so our winters are mild and this is perfect. I definitely would not recommend this for super cold weather as I don’t see it keeping you warm enough, but for mild cold this is great. I love the look. I ordered a Medium and it fit me perfect. I ordered the green one and I love the look and the quality. I’m very happy with this purchase.
Chicago C –
Nice casual mid-weight jacket to protect you from the wind and chill of 40’s/50’s degree early spring/late fall weather in the Midwest. Easy to pack up for travel and has enough room for a light warm sweater underneath. Love the retro 70’s look.
Janet –
This is just the jacket that I was looking for. Lighter weight for spring and keeps the wind at bay. The fit is perfect for me. True to size. I’m a small but some lesser quality jackets I would need to buy a medium. LL Bean clothes last for a very long time with very little wear.
Annabelle –
This is a very nice jacket. I ordered XL Good fit..even over a sweater which I often wear in this chilly climate. It is a warm & toasty.
Carissa –
Lightweight, waterproof, and warm for everyday wear. Wish it had a hood; light enough to pair with a light sweater under if needed for additional hood though.
Collin –
My wife loves this coat, so much I ordered her a second one.
Fancygirl14 –
Great lightweight jacket that I purchased for a trip to a location at 5,000 feet in California in May. It’s lightweight night to pack easily and yet warm enough for 30 degrees at night. Great coat!
Mary –
I love this jacket, it’s so comfortable and warm as well!
