I buy A LOT of LL Bean items for my kids and we love LL Bean generally. I would give this fleece 5 stars, but there was one huge problem and that’s why we returned it. My daughter has a sensory issue and the very small cuffs on the sleeves are TORTURE for her. She needs a much longer cuff. She couldn’t tolerate this fleece at all. We returned this one and ordered a Land’s End fleece for her instead that, from the picture, has much longer cuffs. Land’s End zippers tend to break fast for us, so it’s a shame the LL Bean fleece didn’t work out.
The color was exactly what you see on the website and really beautiful. The plush parts of the fleece was SO SOFT. I was a bit heart-broken returning it. These fleece’s seem really nice. Ah well.

My son loves this hoodie, but it sheds everywhere! Even after washing, his clothes are covered head to toe in fuzz every day after school. This is the third week he’s worn this hoodie and it just won’t stop shedding! I may have to just donate it at this point because it’s contaminating all his clothes and the fuzz doesn’t even come out in the wash. Such a shame because it’s a well made garment and he clearly loves it but I can’t handle the excessive shedding!!! So disappointed.

This fleece sheds on EVERYTHING! My daughter can’t put it on anything without excessive shedding happening. Can’t hang it on a chair on my coat or my coat is covered in teal fleece fur. Her clothes are layered in fleece fur.

My daughter loves this jacket. It’s soft and keeps her warm with a long sleeve shirt underneath. We are in Santa Barbara Ca. and the winter mornings are wet, foggy and very chilly in the 50’s. This jacket keeps her warm. She loves that it has pockets! We have it in the purple and we really hope the berry pink color comes back in stock! My daughter is petite and tall. We got size 6/7 it definitely has room for a long sleeve or thicker shirt/cardigan underneath.
I wish the hood would be a little tighter around her face. When it’s windy it will blow off. The jacket is very soft which she absolutely loves!

Have purchased these jackets every year for my 2 granddaughters for the past 3 years. They are quality jackets and fit true to size. For most of the winter in Kentucky, it is the only jacket they need. They call them their cozy warm jackets. Their seat belts buckle easily over these jackets while in their booster seats unlike some bulkier coats. They enjoy choosing the color of their new jackets each year.

Go to jacket for both our kiddos. We’ve had these in almost every size from 12 months up to 12 years for both a girl and a boy. Perfect for winters here in the south, holds up and doesn’t mat at all. Washes great.

i bought the 8 for my tall, skinny 8 year old and returned it to buy the 10. it’s perfect. nice and fluffy and warm. we are in chicago so kiddo needs this to get through fall and then to wear under his big coat for winter. I suggest sizing up so that when you wash it and it shrinks? it still fits.
