After 4 months of wear the interior is already wearing thin.

Received these as a Christmas present. Five months later the lining is already waring out at the ball of the foot and the heel.

I have been buying LL Bean for 20 years. 90% of my wardrobe is Bean. First time I have had to write a negative review. Purchased these slippers for around the house. Last pair was the elk hide slippers (recommend). These fit okay but are coming apart already! The Inner part of the left shoe is separating from the outside sole. It crunches when you walk. Driving my wife an I crazy. Already purchased a pair of the Comfort Moc’s to replace them. I would consider purchasing a different style.

This is the second pair of LLB slippers I have purchased – same style. The smooth leather still looks great, and the sole is wearing just fine. The first pair had a shearling liner and they wore like iron. This pair, the lining started to wear within a few months and now both feet look like the attached photo. Very disappointed with the quality of the lining.

Too wide in the heel.

I had a pair of these slippers for several years and loved them. They were lined with lambswool fleece. The slippers lasted several years. I recently bought a replacement, with the flannel lining. After three months, the flannel lining wore a hole. The shine isn't even off the leather. Would never buy another pair with this lining.

These are too narrow. I purchased a size larger to account for this. It didn’t help. Not as imagined they would be.

We purchased these because my spouse finds them comfortable. The problem is that they don't last long. Worn only as slippers in the home (so limited time each day), they insides by the achilles area begins to wear and fall apart within a few (usually about 4) short months. Comfortable, but the price makes them not worth purchasing again.

I really wanted to love these slippers. They have some strong positives: leather uppers; the crepe soles are grippy and fantastic for around the house and quick jonts outside; warm and comfortable.
The bad: the flannel liners are terrible. They break down and start to rip after just months of regular wear, causing the thin foam padding to start ripping apart, leaving pieces of foam all over your socks and floors. I went through 2 pairs of them during one New England winter season and one more less than halfway through the following winter before throwing in the towel on these for good. The only upside is Bean’s fantastic warranty and ease to exchanging them. But it was not worth going through the hassle every few months. I switched to a different brand of Maine handmade moccasins and they have been worlds better. Those crepe soles are hard to come by in other brands for a reasonable price though!

Love the slippers, but only bought the flannel version once, and never again. Lining wears out incredibly quickly, ruining the slippers. Have bought 4-5 pairs of the shearling version, and lasts MUCH longer. Appears they discontinued the shearling version, not on the website anymore, very disappointing.

Expect these slippers to last about 3 years with light to moderate use. My husband is on his 3rd/4th pair and the wear pattern has been the same every time. As other reviews and pictures show, the inner lining and foam wear out long before the outer leather and sole. My husband wears them inside after work and on weekends – so not all the time. After 3 years, the outside still looks nearly new and the inside looks 15 years old. Every time. Maybe this is reasonable life for slippers in this price range? I'm not sure. Knowing it's not reasonable to continue doing the same thing again and expect different results, this time I'm ordering the Wicked Good moosehide slippers in hopes of greater durability.

These are very comfortable slippers. My experience (as strange as this sounds!): the BROWN slippers have a much better fit that the ACORN. I tried both of them in the same size and the brown was a great fit; the acorn was too small/tight. I offer this as my experience and have no idea why this happened! These look good and feel good!

My man loves them, very warm and you can definitely wear them outside. They are hearty slippers with an outdoor sole.

These slippers from L.L. Bean are the highest quality slippers I have owned. The leather is high quality and the flannel lining looks like it should hold up quite well. I normally wear size 10.5 shoes and ordered size 11 slippers. They were too big and I exchanged them for size 10 slippers which fit very nicely. Initially, the right slipper was a little snug (my right foot is slightly longer than my left) but just wearing them for a couple of hours was long enough for them to get broken in and now they are very comfortable. Being slippers, they do not seem to have any arch support which is fine with me.
I’m fairly certain that these slippers will hold up for a long time and they are worth their cost.

I had these slippers before and they lasted a long time so I bought them again. They are comfortable and quiet when you walk. I put an insole in them to add arch support which makes them even better. I would definitely recommend these slippers.

I bought these for my husband. He has wide feet and these slippers fit. The way these are manufactured, they will last for years. He can step outside with these because the bottoms are well made. You probably could wear these outside anytime (except in snow) if you wanted to.

This item is listed as delivered. It was not. Apparently, the deliveryperson left it in a public place, and it was stolen. I reported this to Zappos by telephone, and I will receive a credit. In the future, Zappos should have the deliveryperson ring the customer’s doorbell and/or deliver the item to the customer’s apartment door. It should not be left in a public space where it can be stolen.

Ordered the ACORN for the first time and I agree with a previous reviewer, they do not fit the same as BROWN. ACORN was much tighter on top of the foot and the leather is much stiffer. I’m returning the ACORN and will replace with the BROWN which I’ve worn for over 20 years. Aside from the fit issue these are great slippers and last for years. The flannel lining does wear before anything else, but i just add some foam ‘odor-eaters’ insoles every few months and get even more years of use. My favorite feature of these is the crepe rubber soles. They’re soft and QUIET. No hard plastic resulting in that annoying “tapping” sound with each step you take on hardwood floors.

Medium in these shoes must be a A or B in regular shoes. I’m a D width and these things are too tight

They were darker than I thought but I like them. Great price and breaking them in now.

This is my third pair and I’ll keep getting them! My favorite slipper- warm, but not too hot, good quality and durability.
KLLAW –
Excellently made shoes. I wished they had a little more arch support and were available in different width sizes. I had to buy the shoe in the next full size to accommodate my 2E width, which makes the shoe a little big.

These are my favorite slippers on the market, anywhere. Comfortable, great fit, etc., but my favorite part is the flannel lining so it’s not as hot-wearing as shearling types.

I love my slippers! They fit perfectly on my size 12 feet. They aren’t hot with socks on. They have a nice cushioned insole which make them comfortable to wear around the house. The bottom has a nice grip to it. Super pleased with them, they should last for years.
