They are comfortable, waterproof and just the boot to take my dog on walks in the field when it’s raining and the field is wet. I was getting tired of wet shoes. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe so I ordered a 9 but it was too big. I returned those w/o any hassle and ordered an 8 and that was the right size! So be careful when ordering so you get the right size that fits. I highly recommend the 6″ boot they are just right. I would buy them again!!!

These shoes run large! I generally wear a 10.5 EE shoe. There are no half sizes, so I ordered size 11 EE (which I have done with other brands). They were way too large! I exchanged for a 10 EE pair and they fit great. There is room for thick socks if needed but they feel fine even with normal thickness socks. Highly recommended!

I purchased these boots more than 15 years ago and have finally worn them out. I fully expect these boots to be the last I’ll buy for another 15!

Because they are LL Bean, I expected the boots to look and feel great. They do. I anticipate years of wear and compliments.

The first pair was to big, I had sized them off my work boots.
The best part!! was the representative that helped me reorder with a smaller size. He was so thought full asked me good questions, gave me a number of options. I wish I had his name?
If I had a bussiness I would hire him!!
L.L. Bean is top shelf.

Order a full size down. I’m a 12 in everything except these and the 11s fit perfectly. I’ve had mine about 6 years now and they are still keeping my feet warm and dry in our Seattle weather. When I’m working outside all day in the rain, these are my go-tos. I’m not sure why more people in the Pacific Northwest don’t have a pair of these. I don’t expect to purchase a replacement anytime soon, but I’m glad I’ll be able to on Zappos now!

Love the boots. ORDER A FULL SIZE DOWN. I am usually a 9-9.5 but a 9 was way too big, unless I put on very thick socks and a smaller pair of socks on.
Sabrina B –
Best quality! They are so durable and love that they are waterproof.

Boots are great. Sizing and returns to get correct sizes are terrible. Even their recommendation to “order one size down” is wrong. I wear an 11 in all shoes. After two returns I am now in a size 9 in these boots with plenty of room with thick socks. Could save themselves and their customers a lot of headache by just sizing them correctly. That way are don’t have to be special sizing instructions and dealing with returns.

This is my sixth pair of bean made in America boots of different styles, I like all of them some are older, but still fit and wear very well, I’ve had other brands ,but LL bean are superior to the other brands.

Great quality boots. Got them on sale. Great deal.

Ive had LL Bean footwear on my feet since I was a young boy and know they are a reliable choice. I work construction in a similar pair every day in muddy conditions and they are not only comfortable but durable enough to withstand a workday in any environment. Well worth the investment that should hold up to the test of time like my other pairs.
Jeff –
My regular is a size 13. The LLBean shoe has generous room at that size for me but works with my thicker socks. I love that they are waterproof. No other leather boot held up to where I hike.
Esteban –
Love the classic quality in a proven rain boot. My third pair of Bean boots since the 1980s, one pair that I still wear. Nothing beats the Bean boot for long lasting reliability.
Note: buy one size smaller than your normal size and they’ll fit perfectly.
Coon D –
I ordered these and they weren’t quite perfect, so I returned them for EE and now they’re perfect.

What can one say? There’s a reason why these boots have been around for over a century. This is my 3rd pair of these, and for snow days I’ve got an 8″ version with thinsulate. Also, they’re made in Maine which is a huge plus. Just treat the leather with mink oil or similar once a year, and they’ll keep your feet dry regardless of the conditions.

Love Bean boots. I had a pair years ago. Great to have a pair again. Just read the sizing info before you order
Big S –
Well made. True to size and good fit. Appreciate the fact that these boots were made in the U.S.

Great fit, replaced a pair bought 18 years ago. Will most likely be buried in this pair!!! LOL
Jersey R –
These are made to fit with room in front of your toe. This room helps you retain warmth. The boots are very comfortable.

Love these boots! Warm and comfortable. I read the reviews and went a size down. I wear 11 but ordered 10 and they fit perfectly.

I’m a brannock 12.5 2E and wear either 12.5EE or 13EE sneakers*. I initially tried these in a 12 wide with Darn Tough midweight hiker socks and they were too long, my feet slid front to back, and the instep was to high, though the width was excellent. I hesitated to exchange because I worried sizing down in length would lead to a slimmer width. But I decided to go for it and exchanged for 11.5 wide (thanks Zappos for a super easy exchange process so far) and they’re perfect. I like that they’re made in Maine, come in wide widths, include a note from who made it (thanks Bobbie!), and look stylish. The 6″ boot seems easier to take on and off than the 8″. I’m excited to use these in the rain and light snow!
*I wear Asics Kayano in 13 2E, Birkenstock Bend in 13 Regular/Wide, New Balance Two Wxy in 13 2E, Asics 1130 in 13, Adidas Campus in 12.5, and New Balance 880 in 12.5 2E.
